R-5660 serials of Mica Tape for Fire-resistant Cables consist of phlogopite
mica paper (or synthetic mica paper) impregnated with a special silicone resin
and a fiber cloth (or Polyethylene film) as supporting agent. These tapes have
great flexibility and high tensile strength, and their combined characteristics
mean they can be used to create inorganic, fire-resistant insulation for
electrical cables.
According to mica paper, R-5660 series of Mica Tape has two types:
5660-NT-X is made from phlogopite mica paper, retain insulation
properties at 850 /1562 ℃ ℉
5660-HT-X is made from synthetic mica paper, retain insulation properties
at 1000 /1832 ℃ ℉
